Dr. Nikia Burns
Opening a med spa was a natural extension of my passion for orthodontics and for helping others feel confident and radiant in their own skin. The art of building a smile has a lot to do with facial balance and beauty. I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of all these elements, and a med spa allows me to combine those components while making a real difference in people’s lives. I love seeing clients walk out with a renewed sense of self-assurance, knowing we’ve worked together to enhance their natural beauty. The relationships I build with patients and the opportunity to stay at the forefront of innovative treatments make every day exciting and fulfilling. For me, it’s not just about providing services; it’s about empowering people to feel their best, inside and out.
I own and run a three-office orthodontic practice and have for the past 18 years. I started performing cosmetic procedures in 2017 to elevate the beautiful smiles I had just created. While some of my patients elect to have orthognathic surgery to enhance their jaw alignment, bite, and appearance, it got me thinking about all the patients who don’t undergo surgical procedures and the ways I could further improve their aesthetics.
While my original training included an undergraduate degree in Pre-Medicine from Penn State University, a Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University, and a three-year Master’s degree in Orthodontics from West Virginia University, I have also completed a long list of certifications from the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, including neurotoxins, fillers, PDO threads (smooth and lifting), TMJ treatment, radiofrequency microneedling, intense pulsed light, laser hair removal, GLP-1s, chemical peels, and medical-grade skincare. I am currently working on becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Aesthetics.
I am forever a student who enjoys being at the forefront of innovation and technology, where I can use multiple modalities to create the most aesthetic results! When I’m not seeing patients, you can find me at home or at a sporting event with my husband, two sons, and our two dogs.
Dr. Wayne Myers, DO
Dr. Myers is a board-certified Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine with a strong clinical background and a deep commitment to patient safety, wellness, and innovation in aesthetic medicine. As the Medical Director for New Beauty Medical Aesthetics, Dr. Myers brings extensive experience in overseeing medical protocols, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and supporting the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based aesthetic treatments.
With a passion for integrative and holistic care, Dr. Myers takes a hands-on approach to guiding clinical staff in best practices, patient care standards, and ongoing education. Dr. Myers is a graduate of Allegheny College with a degree in neuroscience and psychology. He earned his medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at Pinnacle Health Community General Osteopathic Hospital in Harrisburg, PA. Dr. Myers also performed general and minimally invasive surgery at Angott Surgical Associates, served as Director of Washington Health System Wound Center, and Chief of Surgery at Washington Health System, Greene. Dr. Myers is a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Association, and the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.
Outside of work, Dr. Myers enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys! He is a football and lacrosse coach for their teams, which keeps him super busy! Dr. Myers is committed to upholding the highest standards of care while empowering aesthetic providers.

My name is Kelly Petersen. I live in Canonsburg with my husband, two kids, and three dogs. I am super excited to have joined New Beauty as the Director of Operations, as well as the Patient Coordinator. With my background in finance, management, and customer service, I am able to work closely with clients and providers to personalize the best treatment plans and ensure daily operations maintain a smooth flow.
I have a deep passion for both beauty and wellness, and helping people feel and look their best. I am dedicated to creating an exceptional experience for every client, ensuring that each visit is both relaxing and transformative.
My goal for the Med Spa is to empower clients to feel confident in their own skin while helping the spa grow and thrive. I am so excited to help integrate all the best services with the newest technology to keep us all looking and feeling amazing!
Outside of the Med Spa, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family and friends, making lasting memories. I also love staying healthy, active, and connected with the latest beauty trends and self-care.
