Dr. Nikia Burns
Opening a med spa was a natural extension of my passion for orthodontics and for helping others feel confident and radiant in their own skin. The art of building a smile has a lot to do with facial balance and beauty. I’ve always been drawn to the intersection of all these elements, and a med spa allows me to combine those components while making a real difference in people’s lives. I love seeing clients walk out with a renewed sense of self-assurance, knowing we’ve worked together to enhance their natural beauty. The relationships I build with patients and the opportunity to stay at the forefront of innovative treatments make every day exciting and fulfilling. For me, it’s not just about providing services; it’s about empowering people to feel their best, inside and out.
I own and run a three-office orthodontic practice and have for the past 18 years. I started performing cosmetic procedures in 2017 to elevate the beautiful smiles I had just created. While some of my patients elect to have orthognathic surgery to enhance their jaw alignment, bite, and appearance, it got me thinking about all the patients who don’t undergo surgical procedures and the ways I could further improve their aesthetics.
While my original training included an undergraduate degree in Pre-Medicine from Penn State University, a Doctorate in Dental Medicine from Nova Southeastern University, and a three-year Master’s degree in Orthodontics from West Virginia University, I have also completed a long list of certifications from the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, including neurotoxins, fillers, PDO threads (smooth and lifting), TMJ treatment, radiofrequency microneedling, intense pulsed light, laser hair removal, GLP-1s, chemical peels, and medical-grade skincare. I am currently working on becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Medical Aesthetics.
I am forever a student who enjoys being at the forefront of innovation and technology, where I can use multiple modalities to create the most aesthetic results! When I’m not seeing patients, you can find me at home or at a sporting event with my husband, two sons, and our two dogs.
Dr. Wayne Myers, DO
Dr. Myers is a board-certified Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine with a strong clinical background and a deep commitment to patient safety, wellness, and innovation in aesthetic medicine. As the Medical Director for New Beauty Medical Aesthetics, Dr. Myers brings extensive experience in overseeing medical protocols, ensuring compliance with state regulations, and supporting the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based aesthetic treatments.
With a passion for integrative and holistic care, Dr. Myers takes a hands-on approach to guiding clinical staff in best practices, patient care standards, and ongoing education. Dr. Myers is a graduate of Allegheny College with a degree in neuroscience and psychology. He earned his medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at Pinnacle Health Community General Osteopathic Hospital in Harrisburg, PA. Dr. Myers also performed general and minimally invasive surgery at Angott Surgical Associates, served as Director of Washington Health System Wound Center, and Chief of Surgery at Washington Health System, Greene. Dr. Myers is a member of the American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgeons, the American Osteopathic Association, and the American College of Osteopathic Surgeons.
Outside of work, Dr. Myers enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys! He is a football and lacrosse coach for their teams, which keeps him super busy! Dr. Myers is committed to upholding the highest standards of care while empowering aesthetic providers.

💖 Hi, I’m Kaylin — a certified medical aesthetics professional with advanced training in Laser Hair Removal, IPL, and Morpheus8. I’m passionate about skin health and love helping others feel confident and refreshed through personalized, results-driven treatments.
I’m proud to be from Punxsutawney, PA — a small town with a big heart — and I carry that hometown warmth into every client experience. When I’m not in the treatment room, you’ll find me reading, riding ATVs, going to concerts, and spending time with my fiancé, Christian, and our three dogs: Max, Milo, and Murphy — they’re my whole world.
Hi! I’m Kaylin. I love everything to do with esthetics, and I’m so happy to be able to help people feel better about themselves. IPL and laser hair removal are my specialties, and they are my favorite procedures as well. I can’t wait to help you transform into a better version of yourself.
I have three dogs at home that are my whole world. I’m a shopaholic and will never say no to a coffee or Dr Pepper. I’m originally from Punxsutawney, and it’s one of my main personality traits. Can’t wait to meet you all and talk to you about it!

Kelly Petersen
My name is Kelly Petersen. I live in Canonsburg with my husband, two kids, and three dogs. I am super excited to have joined New Beauty as the Director of Operations, as well as the Patient Coordinator. With my background in finance, management, and customer service, I am able to work closely with clients and providers to personalize the best treatment plans and ensure daily operations maintain a smooth flow.
I have a deep passion for both beauty and wellness, and helping people feel and look their best. I am dedicated to creating an exceptional experience for every client, ensuring that each visit is both relaxing and transformative.
My goal for the Med Spa is to empower clients to feel confident in their own skin while helping the spa grow and thrive. I am so excited to help integrate all the best services with the newest technology to keep us all looking and feeling amazing!
Outside of the Med Spa, I enjoy traveling and spending time with my family and friends, making lasting memories. I also love staying healthy, active, and connected with the latest beauty trends and self-care.
Alexis
Hi! I’m Alexis, a Nurse Practitioner with an eagerness and drive for aesthetic medicine. I have been a Registered Nurse since 2018 and went on to complete my Master’s Degree and became a Nurse Practitioner in 2024. My clinical background is in urgent care but my heart has been with aesthetics ever since I started receiving treatments myself. I’d say my favorite treatment to receive is Botox 💉
I am working along side and being mentored by Dr. Burns herself. I specialize in advanced cosmetic procedures. My practice is grounded in safety, science, and artistry. I truly believe that aesthetic treatments should enhance your own beauty, not mask it. I am continuously learning about the most effective options for skincare and anti-aging concerns and educating my patients accordingly.
When I’m not taking care of patients, I am spending time relaxing on the couch with my dog, reading a good book, or attempting to cook a new recipe I found, and if it’s football season- Steeler’s are on my TV 🖤💛 Whether it’s Botox, fillers, microneedling, lasers or medical-grade skincare, I hope to see you in my chair soon 😊
